This course, created by the Federation of Fire Chaplains, provides an opportunity for everyone – experienced chaplains, new chaplains, and prospective chaplains alike – to learn valuable lessons about Fire Chaplaincy. The class consists of 16 hours of instruction, over the course of two days, covering the following areas:

  • Personhood of the Chaplain
  • Ministry to Crisis Victims
  • Ministry to Fire Personnel
  • Intro to Critical Incident Stress
  • Intro to Incident Command
  • Fire Chaplain Safety
  • Firefighter Injury or Death
  • Fire Department Funerals
  • Confidentiality & Professionalism
Students will receive a completion certificate from the Federation of Fire Chaplains and will have the option to join the organization.
